Yes! The Jade Applicator is great for applying skincare products like serums and lotions. We suggest using the tool with some liquid product to help glide the tool across the face and neck. The coolness of The Jade Applicator will feel amazing when applying after care products when finished with facials and laser treatments.
One major benefit of using The Jade Applicator is the amount of money you will save on product! Sponges and brushes soak up product which results in a lot of waste and the loss of money!
Results vary, but on average, we’ve heard that our clients save about 20% of the amount of skincare they’d typically use. Med spas have said they save up to 30% of the amount of product, and some makeup artists have said up to 50% of the amount of foundation they apply to their clients. Results will vary depending on your current application methods, but the number one comment we hear is that people use less product!
- Fingers come in contact with a lot! Touching our face can transfer bacteria from whatever we touch to our skin! Even if you’ve washed your hands, germs live under the nails. A study showed up to 32 kinds of germs and 28 types of fungi can live under our nails. The longer the nail, the more likely germs can adhere. The crevices under our nails are also the hardest part to clean.
- Brushes and sponges are a breeding ground for bacteria. Studies show 70-91% have harmful bacteria and 57% have fungi!
Yes! The Jade Applicator is a great way to apply skincare after a treatment! Not only will it help keep bacteria from your fingers off your face when applying after care serums, It will also cool and sooth the inflammation and aid in depuffing the face!
In your dominant hand (the one you write with), put your pointer finger in the divot. The end of the tool will lay gently in your hand. The magic happens with the larger, egg-shaped side opposite the finger divot.
Yes! The larger end of The Jade Applicator is used to apply product by gliding it over your face in a massaging motion. The small, rounded tip at the end of the handle was designed for dabbing product on your face for spot treatments. The tip of the handle is also great for getting product out of your small, cylindrical containers. It can also be used for massaging pressure points (if you’ve been trained). The Jade Applicator truly is a multipurpose tool!
Bacteria can cause issues to the skin and health. If it’s redness, bumps or swelling, bacteria can make a mess of your skin! It may exacerbate the underlying issues and make problems worse! It can also cause Staph infections and Pinworm.
We suggest using ATA Cosmetics’ foaming cleanser with water. Otherwise, soap and water. For MedSpas and Makeup Artists that use the tool on clients, we suggest using barbicide or a non-harsh tool cleaner. Jade stone is precious and we need to take care of it.
We recommend washing The Jade Applicator after each session. Also, it's best clean the tool between different types of product use so you don't cross-contaminate product between each jar or container.
One of the biggest learning curves of using The Jade Applicator will be by using less product! When using The Jade Applicator, there is very little waste and you will use MUCH LESS product than when applying product with brushes, sponges or fingers. This also means you save lot of money on product!
Apply a drop or two of any runny product directly to your face, then use The Jade Applicator to glide product over the face. The cool, massaging sensation will feel amazing as you go through your daily routine!
It depends. Our rule of thumb is if it’s a runny product then apply a couple drops directly on your face and smooth in with The Jade Applicator. If it’s a thicker product like a lotion, apply a small amount directly on The Jade Applicator and massage the product onto the face. There’s no correct way to do it, but a runny product will run off the applicator so apply those (like a serum) directly to the skin.
Nope! This is a divot for your pointer finger. It will help control the applicator as you glide the tool across your face, massaging and blending the skincare product into your skin.
Yes! The tool will naturally stay cool and you can still get depuffing benefits if you don’t put it in the refrigerator. Most clients keep it next to their sink in the bathroom where they apply their skincare.
We suggest keeping The Jade Applicator off the counter and some place safe. A makeup holder, the box it came in, or on a hand towel on your counter. Avoid dropping on your counter or other hard surfaces.
Make sure the Jade Applicator is safe when you travel. Though there is some level of tolerance with the tool, it’s best to keep in the box to keep it from bouncing around in your purse or travel bag. Be on the lookout for accessories on ATA Cosmetics’ website (www.atacosmetics.com).

Yes, We use natural jade stone and care must be taken when handling The Jade Applicator. Like a fine wine glass, a plate, or a gua sha, The Jade Applicator can be broken if dropped on a hard surface or handled roughly in a handbag. We suggest placing The Jade Applicator on a hand towel on your counter and using a makeup holder or the box to keep it safe during travel.
You should not try gluing The Jade Applicator together if it is accidentally broken. Glue does not work well on natural stone and should not be attempted. A replacement applicator should be ordered.
